Valuing Our Community

Boardman Foods was built with the hope of bringing people together and making an impact on the Eastern Oregon community it served. Over the last 30 years, we have extended our Boardman Foods family and enjoyed working with great growers, transportation companies, and other local businesses. We are proud to serve the communities around us. The Boardman Chamber of Commerce recognized this commitment by naming us its 2022 Distinguished Business of the Year.

Families First Childcare

As a family-owned company, Boardman Foods appreciates the challenges faced by working families in our community. As a result, we formed an onsite licensed after-school program in 2013 that eased the burden on parents struggling to arrange affordable childcare for school-age children when school gets out.

Then, in 2022, we formed Families First Childcare Non-Profit, an offsite, all-day childcare facility, licensed to serve up to 78 children from roughly 40 local companies and receiving support from area employers such as Lamb Weston, Threemile Canyon Farms, Tillamook County Creamery, and Amazon as well as other local entities and foundations. The program offers a safe and nurturing environment year-round for children from infants to age 12, promoting learning development through developmentally appropriate materials and both indoor and outdoor activities.
