John’s career story
John Barron started with Boardman Foods as a 19-year-old Treasure Valley Community College student, working part-time during the summer stacking onions in the Fresh Pack department.
As he completed his degrees — first an associate’s at TVCC, then a bachelor’s in business administration (with a concentration in marketing) at Eastern Oregon University — he moved up to become a forklift operator, then upon graduation earned a promotion to Purchasing Supervisor in November 2020.
In February 2023, he moved into a new role as Procurement Specialist, negotiating contracts with vendors that allow our team to efficiently provide the industrial agricultural ingredients our customers need.
